Sami Inspired Beginning Bracelet Workshop

- Introduction: Make a Sámi-inspired bracelet of braided wire, reindeer leather and a sculpted antler button.
Tuition: $125 per person | Age: Adults, Teens 16+ | Level: Beginner and Beyond | Instructor: Liz Bucheit | Class Size: 12 Participants Maximum
Join instructor Liz Bucheit live online as we learn to make a Sami-inspired leather bracelet, distinctive jewelry style that developed in the Sami's northern nomadic culture. Reindeer are important to the culture and the traditional jewelry incorporates softened reindeer leather and sculpted antler.
All levels of skill are welcome at this class. We will explore the traditional jewelry techniques of triple braiding, coiled pewter wire, and sewing the finished braid to a softened deep blue reindeer hide strip. A reindeer antler button finishes off the bracelet. Kits will be mailed to students in advance of the class date. The $75 material and shipping fees are included in the $125 class tuition.
