The City of Chatfield (pop. 3005) is seeking a qualified and community-focused law enforcement professional to serve as its next Chief of Police. This full-time, exempt position offers a competitive salary range of $87,594 to $113,132 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

As Chief of Police, you will lead the department in providing public safety services, enforcing laws, and fostering strong community relationships. Responsibilities include supervising personnel, managing departmental operations and budgets, coordinating with other agencies, and representing the department in public forums.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Associate of Arts degree in Law Enforcement
• Valid Minnesota POST license
• 5–7 years of full-time peace officer experience
• Valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license
• Compliance with all state-mandated certifications and medical requirements
